I started looking for a way to create man pages from source code. I now have a Doxygen setup, and it generates amazing HTML pages that are organized, useful, etc.
But ... it seems Doxygen is sucking on the created decent pages. From a larger number of Google searches, it seems that this may be a general consensus regarding the use of Doxygen for creating manual pages. Is this true, or is there a page / tips that explain how to make Doxygen work better with man pages?
I found one project - doxy2man on GitHub - which seems to be specifically designed to re-array Doxygen xml output files in man pages, but I am curious to see if Doxygen can be enforced for the better.
The Doxygen options that I use (there are not many of them) for man pages:
$ grep MAN Doxyfile | grep -v "#" GENERATE_MAN = YES MAN_OUTPUT = man MAN_EXTENSION = .3 MAN_LINKS = YES
