Visual Studio SQL Server Object Explorer Does Not Save Connections

I am using Visual Studio 2012 for development. I really enjoy using SQL Server Object Explorer to work with database related tasks (queries, schema changes, etc.). The problem is that every time I restart the IDE, I have to connect to the databases I work with. Is there a way to save the list of databases as I can on the Server Explorer tab?

When you say you cannot replicate, how long do you use Explorer to try to replicate it? It just loses touch from time to time, so in fact right now I can’t repeat it, but in the next few days I’m sure that they will get reset again!

There seems to be something wrong with your VS IDE

This seems a little unlikely, since the same thing happened to me when I launched the beta version of VS 2012 running in Win 8 Release Preview.

However, I will try your suggestions and I will see what happens, just to clarify, you say that I run these commands once, and then after that I use VS as usual or you say that I try to run in safe mode all the time?

Are the reset options the same as the Import and Export β†’ Reset All Settings? (By the way, I am running general settings)

Does anyone know where these connection settings are actually stored (registry, folder ...)?

Open VS. Do not open any project or solution. Add your databases in Server Explorer. Then File -> Save All
