How to open a second editor in Eclipse?

I have a good high-resolution widescreen monitor and I want to be able to edit files side by side in Eclipse (so I can link to one file while working, for example, in another). I looked around in the usual menus, but did not understand how to do this.

Does anyone know if this is possible, and if so, how to do it?

Click the tab of one of the files you want to edit, and drag the tab to the edge of the editor’s frame until you see a vertical line in the middle of the editor’s frame. Then open the tab, and you have two files to view side by side.

I am using Eclipse Helios.

CORRECTLY PRESS ON THE TABLE β†’ MOVEMENT β†’ EDITOR

And then just drag it towards Project Explorer and release the click.

Automatically you can see parallel views :)
