Is an ipad version required for publication in the Apple store?

I'm new to iOS development, and the answer to this question may seem obvious to some experimental developers. If I’m building an application designed for the iPhone, do I really need to turn on the views for the iPad before submitting an application to the Apple Store?

No, you can only target iPhone if you want. Or you can focus on the iPad. Finally, you can create a universal application that is designed for both.

This is your choice. You determine what you aim in your project.

AFAIK You need to send screenshots for the iPad , even if you are sending the application for the iPhone . I'm talking about itunesconnect while you post. I myself experienced this when I sent the application only for the iPhone and was required to add iPad screenshots.

In particular, for purposes or views in your xcode. NO, you do not need to add additional viewing, but only views for your purpose. If you save a universal application, you can add views for iPhone and iPad .

For different screenshots, you do not need to add different views, but instead you can use the simulator to take all the screenshots.

I recently tried sending the app to iTunes with screenshots for the iPad, and the binary was only for the iPhone.

This is what they informed me.

Your binary does not support iPad. Screenshots or preview video apps for iPad will not be displayed on the App Store

If you are targeting your application to Universal, you will need both, and if you only select a device, an example iphone that you don't need for an ipad.

For universal, you need to send both otherwise, so that you set a goal, it will be enough
