Not found EGLConfig

I am trying to make a simple game in android using the AndEngine Tutorial

Now when I run the project, I get the error java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: EGLConfig not found!

Create AVD with Target 4.0.3 -API Level 15 with GPU emulation yes. My example showed that it works after that. If you have an additional problem, visit the AndEngine forum and get detailed information about OpenGL drivers

I had the same problem and it worked for me on Windows 7 64bit. My settings are AVD: Device: (800 x 480 hdpi), Target: Android 4.4 API level 19, CPU / ABI: ARM (armeabi-v7a).

  • I changed the memory settings to 512 VM Heap 32
  • then emulation options and Use Main GPU.
  • Click OK, refresh, clean the project, restart Eclipse.
  • Run configuration -> Android -> Project -> Run

Your emulator configuration is fine. Try creating a new emulator and run this code that may run. If in this case there should be no encoding problems
