Android DDMS Cannot Run Network Statistics Using Emulator

Question

As soon as the Start button is pressed, the Error dialog box is displayed.

Problem statistics

Reason: Problem reading xt_qtaguid network statistics from the selected device.

I am testing the latest emulator 4.2.2. (I read that network statistics are not supported until 4.0.1)

Variables PATH in OS = OK can run ADB from the cmd line. All other DDMS functions work. Launching the latest Eclipse as of 3-31-2013.
