Smooth large text on canvas

Question

How can I force Chrome (left) to use an anti-alias such as IE 10 (right side)?

I have used this code so far. Do I need to use a subtle punch?

The short answer is that you cannot control anti-aliasing.

The good news is that it looks much better in Chrome 27.0.1453.12 dev-m:

Unfortunately, you have to either "just wait" or use images instead of fillText.

The text part of the Canvas specification was implemented last in most browsers, and it shows.

You may have to wait longer. Chrome canary v28 still has poor fiddle anti-aliasing.
