How to match (alias?) Command in vim

Let's hypothetically assume that I always forget the command :vsplit and always think its :vdivide .

Is there a way to match (Im not sure if it's right to call him, since his team) one on top of the other?

A user command can only start with a capital letter, so you can add only :Vdivide , but not :Vdivide .

Add to your .vimrc

  command Vdivide vsplit

To get around the limitation that user commands must begin with an uppercase letter, I recommend cmdalias.vim - create aliases for the Vim plugin commands . With it, you can:

 :Alias vdivide vsplit
