Adb usb drivers do not work for Motorola mc40

  • I am running Windows 7 and Eclipse. The emulator works great!
  • My Motorola MC40 has Settings-Application-> Developer-> usb debug flag.
  • I use drivers from https://motorola-global-portal.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/88481
  • MC40 not recognized
  • The command "abd devices" indicates that the device is not connected.
  • Drivers in / sdk / extras / google / usb _drivers do not work.

I searched everywhere and cannot find an answer. I would really like to use an Android device with Eclipse. Does anyone have any experience with the MC MC pen? Any ideas?

Hi Android Developers for Motorola Solutions (Enterprise Edition Devices) -

Download exe and install according to the link below, and no doubt adt will detect Motorola device for corporate Android editions such as ET1-Android Tablet, MC 40 and TC55.

you can download this from the Motorola Solutions support site and find the β€œUSB driver for Android” .

Currently, the latest version 1.1, which covers ET1, MC40 and TC55.

Ok guys! I have found a solution. You will have to modify the original google and inf files from sdk and then reinstall the device. Here's the guide: https://docs.symbol.com/ReleaseNotes/MC40N0_ADB_Setup_Instruction.docx

Important note: my MC40 seems to be slightly different from the vendor identifier, so I had to change the GUID from the manual to match what I found in my Device Manager.

None of the instructions I could find on the Internet seemed to work, but here's what I did.

  • Install USB device drivers from the motorola website.

  • In the device manager, find the device "MC40" and update it.

  • Select "Browse My Computer"

  • Then "Let me choose from the list of devices"

  • select ADB Interfaces-> Motorola-> AMB Composite ADB Interface

  • Reboot USB debugging if necessary

Hope this helps some of you.

I can’t find the link to enroll the person you posted above, but thanks.

Not sure if this helps anyone, but I had a problem with the dock. I connected the micro-USB directly to the device, and now I can work normally with it.

I also downloaded drivers from this site.
