VS2010: how to remove / hide the External Dependencies folder in Solution Explorer

In VS2010, they added a virtual directory called External Dependencies to all projects:

This really bothers me especially because if there is a regular folder with the name "Apple" and one called "Deep", it will be between them, and the information that it gives, in my opinion, is absolutely useless.

Is there any way to remove or hide it?

I don’t know if you understood this, but look at this page , you can turn it off in the Options dialog box (in the Tools menu)).

In the right sidebar, expand the Text Editor section, then expand C / C ++ and click Advanced. Set the Disable External Dependencies Folder option to True and restart Visual Studio.

As Michael mentioned in the comments, you probably don't need to restart Visual Studio, but you can just close and reopen the solution to see the effects.
