Maven missing artifact

I have a maven project, which until yesterday was building normally. Now, when I try to build using m2e, it cannot build, because it cannot resolve dependencies, but these dependencies do not disappear, and they are in my local repository. I know this question was asked before, but none of the answers resolved my problem. I have tried many things:

  • cache removal.
  • closing of the project and its reopening.
  • Perform a clean installation of the project.

But there is no result. So, is there a more systematic procedure to solve this problem?

This usually happens when switching from one maven configuration to another. In my case, I switched from a direct connection to a central maven to use nexus as a mirror.

Removing maven-metadata*.xml and _*.repositories inside the local folder \Users\YourUser\.m2 did the trick for me.

Hope this helps!
