How to use debug tool in Spyder for python scripts?

I recently met Spyder. I decided to use Spyder because of its debugging capabilities. However, I was not able to use pdb effectively in Spyder. When I started, I had the impression that the debugging tool would be similar to the MATLAB tool. It's true? How can an interpreter point to a breakpoint? I would appreciate the right resource.

(Spyder dev here) If you are using a version of Spyder below 2.2.5 , upgrade it. On it you will find the Debug menu, from which you can set breakpoints and manage all the debugging actions that we can offer.
