A few years ago, I released an application (free game) for iOS, which was pretty much unacceptable, and settled on average about 5 downloads per month (terrible, I know). However, I recently noticed a huge (relatively) surge in downloads, up to 300 downloads in the last 10 days.
Something seems strange in this last series of downloads, but, on the one hand, they are all from China (my application is only localized for English and never goes outside the US), as well as “Active devices (login only)” statistics shows 3 devices used in the same time period.
Even a stranger, the statistics of "Product Page Views" show only 6 views in the same period, which had 300 downloads ?!
Is something bad going on, or could there be a soft explanation for this huge surge in downloads?
If anyone is interested, or if it helps to find the cause, the Acorn Mayhem application, as shown here . (Note: this is not intended for independent advertising, and if the inclusion of a link violates the rules, do not hesitate to edit it)
in response to a hold: This question seems to have been suspended as "off topic", I don’t think it should be, it uses tools used directly and exclusively for programming (iTunes connect, which is used only by programmers). This will not be visible to people who actually use it if he was a superuser, and I think that the number of other people who experienced the same problem and answered in a short time shows that this is relevant and useful for a large part of the developer community.
Apple forums have a topic about the issue https://forums.developer.apple.com/thread/84146
