I know this question was asked in January, but did you try to clean the assembly? I just got this problem and solved it by going to Project -> Clean ... and then running it. It will delete your APK, and then when you start, they will be restored. Worked for me!

In Eclipse, go to Window Open Perspective Other , and you should see DDMS as a parameter. If you choose this perspective, LogCat will be displayed by default along with some other debugging tools. If it is not displayed, you can find it under Window Show View Other Android LogCat .

Check the default.properties file to see if there is a target-sdk (which version of Android the application is required for) and make sure you really got sdk for this version of Android.

If you do not, load the correct SDK or change the target sdk in the default properties.

For me, the problem was that I made the archive of the "www" folder - tar.gz one, for backup - in the same place where the "www" folder itself is inside the "assets" folder. And this archive caused an error. All other projects were wonderful. And when I deleted this archive - the error disappeared.

PS: when I made the .zip archive of the "www" folder, and the project could work fine, without problems: D ... haha: D ...

There is a slight chance that you have the same problem, but still: After watching the Logcat output, I noticed that your Android project should not contain (or at least not start) the underscore (_).

edit: As I see now, your console log has the name of your project and does not contain any underscores. Thus, this answer will not solve your problem, but may be useful to others.

Aligning a file with Zip can also cause this problem. If you have one, try downloading the signed APK file (before zipalign) to your device and see if the problem persists. If the problem is fixed, then ZIPALIGNING does not work correctly.
