3D effect for buttons in java swing using nimbus

enter image description here I used Nimbus to create rounded corners for the buttons in the swing link here: Use Nimbus to create rounded corners for JButton

Now I want to give a 3d look to the buttons. How do I do this with a halo? I went through the halo, but coudnt found the right information

Note: I added an image where button1 shows what I used: generateButton.setBorder (BorderFactory.createBevelBorder (BevelBorder.LOWERED));

and the second with the halo effect

This is more a suggestion than an answer.

From looking at your previous questions, it seems that this button was a problem for you. It seems that your initial question regarding the button did not include Nimbus at all, but it was most likely how to get the look and feel of the button.

I could suggest, instead of trying to tinker with the look and maybe just choose the look that you like. All of the below can be found at sourceforge
