TFS 2013 and SQL Server 2014 Version Conflict

The attempt to install TFS 2013 using Microsoft SQL Server 2014 is 12.0.2000.8 (X64), not CTP. But I get an error ...

TF255146: Team Foundation Server requires SQL Server 2012 SP1 (11.00.3000) or higher. The exposed SQL Server XXX instance is version 12.0.2000.8.

Has anyone experienced this? Microsoft documentation clearly states that SQL 2014 is supported. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, that’s correct, it is supported by SQL Server 2014, but only with TFS 2013 Update 2, which was released a couple of days ago.

Also, if you are installing TFS 2013.3 (Update 2) with SQLServer 2014, there is an unpleasant problem with all the work item features in web access. Microsoft has not yet released a fix. There is a workaround document, but it is hard to find; then, as it is written, it is addressed only to "Updates".
