Withings iOS app has the ability to get your Wi-Fi settings and transfer it to the body scale via Classic Bluetooth (see screenshot below). From what I learned, this is a feature only available through the MFi program, which has a Withings scale.
I am creating an application that is negotiating with external BLE devices. Since MFI is not required for BLE devices, I wonder if there is a way to do the same with CoreBluetooth or other frameworks?
From the Apple MFi Frequently Asked Questions Page :
"Accessories that connect to an Apple device using only Bluetooth Low Energy / BTLE / Bluetooth 4.0 or standard Bluetooth profiles supported by iOS are not part of the MFi Program."
