OpenStreetMap App for Android and iOS

I would like to make a mobile native application (Android and iOS) with OpenStreetMap. I need to work with maps offline for hiking.

I read about OSMDroid, MapsForge for Android, but I need to do it in iOS too. Could you recommend me some libraries, tips, etc. For these mobile OS?

thanks

OSM "stackexchange like" help might be the best place for this question.

See for example: https://help.openstreetmap.org/questions/8066/ios-android-sdk

Check also the OSM wiki files: https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Frameworks to see the possible paths.

If you're fine with a commercial library, check out the skobbler OSM SDK - they offer standalone maps and a free tier plan that can be big enough for your needs. (minus marketing talk, SDK can be downloaded here )

If you are a company / enterprise, then also look at cloudmade (as far as I know, they changed their policy and supported only the plans of the enterprise).
