Landscape tab controller

I am working on a project in which I need an application in landscape mode. I made changes to the .plist file by setting the interface orientation to landscape. I also changed the orientation to the landscape in the .xib files, but still, when the application starts in the simulator, the panel controller is displayed only in portrait mode. Can someone help with this.

Note that by design, the UITabBarController will rotate only to support the interface orientation that all its view controllers support. He will send the message -shouldAutorotateToInterfaceOrientation: each of his view controllers and, if all of them return YES , return YES .
