Is Python for every GNU / Linux distribution?

I would like to know if Python is on every common G / L distribution. And why is it so popular on GNU / Linux and not so much on Windows?

Well, python does not come on ALL GNU / Linux distributions, but it is present on most popular distributions of Linux home users (e.g. Ubuntu and Fedora Core), perhaps because most Gnome desktop and KDE applications use python 2.5+ (not yet in Python 3). Since python is almost integrated into the system / environment from the very beginning, linux users easily program in python. But this is a subjective opinion, since java is still equally popular, if not more, on Linux distributions.

Likewise, windows (vista / 7) come with a .net card with amazing C # support, and on Mac OSX objective-C dominates most integrated os applications; users are simply inclined to program in languages that they consider more β€œnative” to the development environment they use / targeting.

No, Python is not pre-installed on any Linux distribution.
