Outlook add-in tutorial?

Does anyone know a good example to get started with an Outlook add-in using C #?

There are two ways to create such an add-in in VS 2008:

  • Managed Add-in (File> New Project> Office> Outlook 2007 Add-in)
  • General add-in (File> New project> Other project types> Extensibility> General add-in)

I also recommend taking a look at Addin Express.

They have a toolbox that

  • offers more features than Visual Studio, and
  • reduces the amount of code required (i.e. simplifies it).
