OSX Using Beyond Compare as a git difftool

Question

When I try to start Beyond Compare using git, I get this error:

Diff bc3 tool unavailable as "bcompare"

fatal: the external diff died, dwelling on the /PushPlugin.m plugins

Set up the diff tool:

$ git config --global diff.tool bc3 

Try to compare the catalog:

 $ git difftool plugins Viewing (1/2): 'plugins/PushPlugin.m' Launch 'bc3' [Y/n]: y

Launch Beyond Compare, go to the Beyond Compare menu and run Install Command Line Tools.
