The specified platform toolkit (v110) is not installed

I have a solution originally created using VS2010. When I opened it with VS 2012, he asked me to do some conversion, which I agreed on. Now I use VS 2010 to open the solution again, and when I tried to build it, an error appeared:

error MSB8008: The specified platform toolkit (v110) is not installed or is invalid. Verify that the supported PlatformToolset value is selected.

How can i fix this? For example, is there a way to change platform toolset on v100 again?

Yes indeed:

  • Right click project
  • Select Properties
  • Select Configuration Properties
  • General
  • Platform tool kit

When you go to the Platform Toolset, click on the value v110 , which will be in the right column. A drop-down list will appear that allows you to select v90 , v100 or inherit . Of course, v100 is the right answer. Once v100 selected, I do not believe that you can return to v110 from VS 2010. You will need to reopen VS 2012 to return it back to v110 .
