My MacBook Pro won't detect my s6 ssung galaxy

I'm trying to connect my galaxy s6 ssung to my macbook pro program to run my apps from android studio; however, when I connect my phone to my mac via the USB cable that comes with the phone, I get a notification on my phone that it is charging, but my macbook and android studio do not detect it.

I have usb debugging. Kies and filetransfer do not work.

I can not see the directory in finder, even if I have external drives and hard drives.

The latest versions of Android and OSX work in my phone and Mac.

It turns out that the cable supplied by samsung has Mac computers due to compatibility issues with OEM devices. Using a different cord with the correct OEM data transfer compatibility will fix the problem.

I solve it using Android file transfer. Download it from the official android site https://www.android.com/filetransfer/

Install it on your Macbook Pro and connect your phone to the cable and ROCK!

Try PdaNet, it can help you find the driver version of your device and match your device.

I also have this problem. I have s6 edge and new macina retina pro; so this is definitely not the "old mac" problem for the new samsung.

Edit: Fixed while chatting with samsung.

From your telephone set * # 0808 # then enable the MTP option. Reboot the computer. Also make sure that you have an intelligent switch installed on your computer, available at http://www.samsung.com/ca/support/smartswitch/

When the Smartswitch window appears, click the drop-down menu, and then click the blue folder icon. That should do it.

I tried with another USB cable and it worked. His problem is due to the lack of a USB cable and a mobile phone.
