Some people seem to be stuck with 24 hours and others 12 hours with AM / PM. Here is what I learned. For me, I was stuck in 24 hours mode, and changing the date format of the operating system did not help me (at least not right away, possibly due to previously installed chrome). So I went to Google Chrome settings → Show advanced settings → Languages → Language and input settings ... Then I switched to English (USA), restarted Chrome and Voilà, 12-hour mode and was able to select AM or PM, So this probably designed so that you don’t need to worry about it and that it will be displayed in the user’s date / time format settings. The format displayed by the user interface control and accepted as user input. Browser providers are advised to keep an eye on preference choices. For example, on Mac OS with the United States region selected in the Language and Text preference area, Chrome 20 uses the m / d / yy format.
