Temp emulator files eat up my disk

I found that my android emulator creates almost 1 GB temporary files in C: \ Users \\ AppData \ Local \ Temp \ AndroidEmulator. Thus, the emulator does not start due to limited space.

What are these temporary files? Are these temporary files important enough to save? Can i remove it?

Thanks in advance.

Take a look

c:\Users\<your_username>\.android\avd\

I think the safest way to clean up is to use the Wipe option in AVD Manager. Typically, each emulator takes about 1 GB of disk space.

If the emulator is not running, you can safely delete files in AppData\Local\Temp\AndroidEmulator .

Also, if huge temporary files are still being produced at this location, consider updating the emulator. I can’t determine exactly which version fixed this, but on my machine the files stopped appearing for some time in 2016, despite the fact that I created a lot of AVD since then.
