Is it possible to programmatically change the input source of the TV?

I have a TV with two hdmi input sources:

• In connected hdmi1 satellite receiver
• In hdmi2 connected Android device

I am looking for opportunities to control the active input of hdmi TV from android (switch among themselves)

In the beginning, I thought about controlling the TV with an IR port, but I did not find a cheap USB drive. Now I'm thinking about HDMI CEC, but very little information about this. I don’t understand if the CEC allows this to be done. Perhaps there are other ways?

larification: I have an Android application that can play media content using the scheduler, and sometimes the application should be able to change the input source TV to another HDMI port and change it later. Finally: I need to control the TV input source from the Android device.
