Submitting an app using Xcode 7.0.1

Firstly, I uploaded the assembly to the AppStore using Xcode 7 beta and only after clicking "Submit for review" did it show me the following error:

Invalid Toolchain. New applications and application updates must be created using the (GM) version of Xcode 6 or later and the iOS 8 SDK or later. Do not submit applications created using the beta version.

So, I updated to the latest version 7.0.1, archived the assembly, uploaded it to the App Store.

And guess what? It shows the same error.

I looked through the forum, tried to open the plist file archive assembly, but the line "BuildMachineOSBuild" already contains "14F27" (this worked for other guys on the forum).

Apple forums are populated with cases of this error, and no one has a clue.

NB: Apple had already resolved the problem about an hour ago. They reacted pretty quickly.

This is a mistake and you are not alone: see https://forums.developer.apple.com/thread/20467 . Since this is an Apple error, not yours, there is nothing you can do except a file, an error report, and an expectation.

EDIT OP now reports that Apple fixed the bug.

You can try changing the info.plist your application.

  • In Xcode Archives go to the archive folder (right click → Show in Finder )
  • Open Products/Applications/<your app name>Show package contents
  • Open info.plist in application package with Xcode
  • Significant Fields

    • DTXcode - 0700 (Xcode 7.0)
    • DTXcodeBuild - 7A220 ( 7A220 7.0)
    • DTXcodeBuild - 13A344 (iOS 9 SDK)
    • DTSDKBuild - 13A344 (iOS 9 SDK)

If you wish, you can change BuildMachineOSBuild to 14F27 (Yosemite 10.10.5)

PS In most cases, the Invalid Toolchain is an Invalid Toolchain error that will be fixed sooner or later. This receipt may help you send the application, but the application itself may become invalid, so the review team may reject it.
