IOS 9 Black Keyboard

Question

In iOS 9, if I show the camera using the keyboard, when I turn off the camera controller and the keyboard returns, the layout is broken, as in the screenshot below.

Step to play:

• Click on the text field so that the keyboard displays
• Open the controller that uses the camera.
• Disable camera controller
• When the keyboard returns, it will break

The keyboard will not exhibit this behavior if you explicitly call

resignFirstResponder() 

in a UITextField / UITextView before the UIImagePickerController view.

I think this is a mistake because I do not see similar behavior in iOS <9
